In the enriching milieu of Juilliard ChamberFest 2022, Jiahao and his quartet ensemble, comprising the talented violinist Jimin Kim, violist Shuhan Wang, and cellist Jiaxun Yao, embarked on a remarkable musical journey under the expert guidance of Professors Paul Neubauer, Darrett Adkins, and Robert Levin.
Their exceptional artistry earned them a unique honor besides the showcase in Paul Hall of Juilliard (the original violinist was Haoge Wang), as they were invited to perform Ernest Chausson's monumental chamber composition not just once, but in a remarkable marathon of four performances over the course of two days at the iconic Metropolitan Museum of Art.
This opus, characterized by its massive scale, energy-consuming demands, technical intricacies, and soul-elevating musical depth, provided a remarkable opportunity for French Impressionist music to shine brilliantly within the twilight ambiance of the European Sculpture Gallery, leaving an indelible mark on their audience.
