Dedicated to delving into the lesser-known realms of chamber music and exploring compositions by artists often considered minor in the historical canon, Juilliard ChamberFest provides a platform for musical discovery and innovation.

 

Marking his debut in this prestigious event, Jiahao, alongside his chamber mates, violinist Haoge Wang, violist Shuhan Wang, and cellist Jiaxun Yao, ambitiously selected the stirring piano quartet by the French Impressionist composer Ernest Chausson. Serving as Chausson's final major work before his tragic demise, this quartet presents a rich tapestry of tonal colors, guiding the listener through a kaleidoscope of sonic emotions and experiences.

Under the expert guidance of Professor Paul Neubauer and Darrett Adkins, Jiahao's quartet ensemble underwent an intensive week of rigorous rehearsals and lessons, honing their collective artistry and musical interpretation. Their dedicated efforts culminated in a mesmerizing performance that brought Chausson's masterpiece to life, captivating the audience with its evocative narrative and profound musical expression.
